Centrally placed in a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty, Farndon Thatch, with its comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, provides the perfect B&B for those visiting the diverse and beautiful counties of the South West. This delightful stone thatched cottage dating from the late 15th century, with its beautiful garden and panoramic views from the Quantocks to the Mendips and Glastonbury Tor, is the ideal place to base your stay.

Located in the Somerset village of Puckington, just a couple of miles north of Ilminster, the house and garden of an acre, open under the National Garden Scheme, are set on the side of a hill and have superb views over the surrounding countryside.

The house retains much of its original historic character, including the medieval elm screen passage, exposed beams and timbers.

The two double bedrooms are both very comfortably furnished and have lovely views. The en-suite medieval room has a kingsize bed, the other is a superking/twin with its own private and spacious shower room. Both rooms are available from £70.00 per room per night, inclusive of Full English/Continental breakfast.

The National Trust property of ‘Barrington Court’ is in the neighbouring village and the historic houses of Montacute, Lytes Cary and Forde Abbey, together with the beautiful gardens of Hestercombe, Tintinhull and East Lambrook Manor are all just a short drive away. Nearby Dillington House stages regular concerts and educational courses.
